Overview

Knowledge Grabber (“we”, “the app”) turns Slack conversation threads into structured documentation. This policy explains what data we process, why, and how it is protected.

Information we process

  • Slack content: when a user reacts with the trigger emoji, we fetch that thread’s messages to generate a document. We store the generated document and lightweight metadata (message/character counts, channel, timestamps), not full raw transcripts.
  • Workspace & account data: Slack workspace/team id, the installing user, and an encrypted bot token.
  • Integration credentials: tokens/identifiers for GitHub, Notion, or Confluence, stored encrypted, used only to publish documents you approve.
  • Billing data: subscription status and identifiers via our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store card details.

How we use it

Solely to provide the service: generating documents from threads you tag, letting you review them, and publishing approved documents to your chosen destination. We do not sell your data or use your content to train models beyond the processing needed to generate your document.

Sub-processors

We share data only as needed with: OpenAI (to generate documents), Slack (source of content), GitHub / Notion / Confluence (your chosen publishing destination), Razorpay (billing), and our cloud hosting/logging providers.

Security

Access tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Inbound webhooks are signature-verified. Each workspace’s data is isolated and access is scoped per organization.

Retention & deletion

When you uninstall the app, stored tokens are purged. You may request deletion of your organization’s documents and data at any time by emailing us. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (including under GDPR/CCPA where applicable) by contacting us.
